    • ATLAS : Automatic Translation into Sign Languages (Total Eligible Costs > 4.300.000 €), (“Converging Technologies” CIPE 2007 - Regione Piemonte - Settore dei ricerca: Cognitive Science and ICT), which involves: Politec-nico di Torino, Università di Torino (Dip di Informatica, & Dip di Psicologia), RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana S.p.A., BEPS Engineering, Lumiq Studios S.r.l., CSP – Innovazione nelle ICT, Microsoft Innovation Center, Virtual Reality and Multimedia Park, Cooperativa scs Global Communication, Fondazione Bruno Kessler – Trento, University of Illinois at Chicago.
      The project exploits the convergence between cognitive sciences and ICTs to build innovative services to provide deaf people with the access to broadcast communications, through the automatic translation of the written Italian natural language into the animated Italian Sign Language (LIS).
